Bassam Nuseibeh is an experienced emergency medicine specialist with a deep commitment to advancing medical education and improving patient care. Based in Victoria, Australia, he is a co-founder of HaptiSim, a pioneering medtech startup developing high-fidelity VR and haptic simulation technology for critical care procedures. His expertise spans point-of-care ultrasound, telehealth, and procedural training, with a focus on democratising access to high-quality medical education.

Graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2006, Bassam has worked across diverse healthcare settings, including Geelong University Hospital, The Alfred Hospital, and various private hospitals in the Geelong region, as well as overseas healthcare systems. His multicultural background and global experience have given him valuable insight into healthcare challenges and innovation opportunities.

Alongside his work in emergency medicine, Bassam is a co-founder of Clintix, a consultancy firm supporting medtech and biotech startups by connecting them with healthcare professionals and clinical networks. He is also the clinical lead of the Barwon Acute Referral Service (BARS), leading telehealth initiatives to improve patient access to emergency care.

With a passion for medical simulation, digital health, and improving procedural competency, Bassam is dedicated to reducing medical errors, enhancing patient outcomes, and shaping the future of medical training through technology.
